Dmitrov is one of the most ancient towns of Moscow Oblast founded by Yuri Dolgoruky in 1154 deep in the woods at the site where his son Vsevolod was born. Its name is explained by the fact that Vsevolod's patron saint was Saint Demetrius. Duringthis trip you will visit the Dmitrov Kremlin, the Assumption Cathedral,and chief landmarks of the Dmitrov District — the cloisters of Sts. Transfer from Moscow to Zvenigorod (1,5 hour) founded by Dmitri Donskoy's second son Yuri later known as Yuri of Zvenigorod.

You will be taken on a trip around the old town of Zvenigorod in Moscow Oblast where you will visit the places which are commonly associated with Boris Godunov, the regent of Russia from c. 1585 to 1598 and then the first non-Rurikid tsar from 1598 to 1605.

Alexandrovskaya village dates back to the middle of the 14th century. Grand Duke Vasily III had a country palace built there and used to bring his family and the entire court to it. The palace did not survive though. Ivan the Terrible moved to the Alexandrovskaya fortress in 1565. The residence was immediately fortified with a bulwark wooden walls, and a moat. The village became the actual capital of the country. The oprichnina was founded there and the march on the Novgorod Republic started from the village. You will learn many interesting facts about Ivan the Terrible and oprichnina with our guide. During this excursion you will also visit the Alexandrov Kremlin and the churches of the town.

Sergiyev Posad is a city and the administrative center of Sergiyevo-Posadsky District of Moscow Oblast, Russia. It grew up in the 15th century around one of the greatest of Russian monasteries, the Troitse-Sergiyeva (Trinity) Lavra established by St. Sergius of Radonezh. You will visit all the cathedrals get acquainted with the monastery history and with life histories of people of that great epoch.

The ancient Vladimir tract, or the Vladimir Highway, known as the Vladimirka was a road leading east from Moscow to Vladimir and Nizhny Novgorod. Its length was about 190 kilometers. The road has been mentioned in documents since the Middle Ages, when it connected the political capital of Vladimir-Suzdal. It was by this road that the Muscovite merchants travelled to the Makariev Fair. In connection with the ceremonial transfer of the Theotokos of Vladimir from Vladimir to Moscow in 1395, one Russian chronicler referred to the route as "the greatest of roads". Our excursion will take you to Mocow Oblast little towns, Suvorov Mansion and will bring to life the history of Pushkin's trips and whatnot.

The town is located on the southeastern shore of the Lake Pleshcheyevo at the mouth of the Trubezh River. Pereslavl-Zalessky was founded in 1152 by Prince Yuri Dolgoruky as a projected capital of Zalesye. In 1175–1302, the town was the center of the Principality of Pereslavl (Zalessky).
