8.00 Transfer to Ivanovo (~275 km). Ivanovo is situated on the banks of the Volga River, 275 km north-east from Moscow. The first settlements are documented to be founded in 1561. Ivanovo is traditionally called the textile capital of Russia, its fabrics are well-known all over the world. Most Ivanovo textile workers were women, and it is also known as the "City of Brides". A lot of architectural constructions of different times built of wood and marble have been preserved in the town. |

15.30 Arrival in Ivanovo. Sightseeing tour including trip to Svyato- Vvedensky women Monastery and to the first textile fabric, which belonged to the Sheremetev family. During the museum tour you will visit the museum of local studies and the museum of Ivanovo printed cotton. |

18.00 Transfer to Shuya (30 km). Shuya is the third largest town in Ivanovo Oblast, Russia; it is situated on the Teza River. The first mention of Shuya is dated by 1393. The town was named after a branch of the House of Suzdal "Shuisky". Shuya was also a major flax-processing centre. Nikolo-Shartomsky Abbey, situated twelve kilometres from Shuya, has one of the largest monastic communities in Russia. The cloister was first mentioned in 1425. The belltower of its Resurrection Cathedral, is the tallest freestanding bell tower in the world. |

09.45 Sightseeing tour with a view of the Kremlin defensive constructions and, visit to philanthropist's Pavlov mansion is also possible on demand. Tour of the house-palace. Mannequin parade "Oh, these Shuiskys chintzs!". "Shuiskaya Vodka" distellery liqueurs degustation. "The Charm of Russian Romance" concert program. A visit to the chintz of Shuya exhibition and sale. |

11.30 Transfer to Palekh — worldwide known centre of The lacquer miniature. (30 km). Palekh village is one of the centers of Russian icon-painting famous for the skillfully painted icons, fretworks and embroideries made by its inhabitants. Palekh lacquer miniatures are painted on articles — caskets and boxes, brooches and hairpins for ties, ashtrays etc. Palekh painting is a result of century-old traditions based on the knowledge of icon- painting handicraft of many generations. |

12.00-13.30 Visit to the Palekh Arts Museum, the Memorial Museum of Ivan Golikov (the founder of modern Palekh lacquer painting) and to the the Church of Exaltation of the Cross. You will also have an opportunity to attend an exhibition and sale of handmade gifts. |
